Serge, Marc and Yvan are old friends. Now, their friendship seems to have arrived at the crossroads. Serge pays a huge amount of money for a work of art which, according to Mark, is a trap, because the painting is without any value.
The purchase of the painting, calling into question the friendship of the two. Yvan appears as a Justice of the peace, until the anger wins and brings out light-concealed and old disagreements.
Born on the basis of art polemics Yasmina Reza’s comedy talks about the tackles of friendship actually.  Are we able to accept her friends as in reality, or just fold up the moment one realizes that all our points of view are totally opposites? What is friendship? May also be called a friendship that is unable to survive absolute honesty?
