The Brighella Puppet Theatre visited Nyíregyháza and its going on a tour in Slovakia

This weekend the Brighella Puppet Theatre of the Northern Theatre of Satu Mare visited Nyíregyháza and included in the program of the Tirpák Festival, whose members surprised the children with a performance entitled The Tree Reaching the Sky.

The weather was also gracious for the puppet actors: the outdoor stage of the event in the Sóstó Museum Village was soaked in the rain in the morning, but the time for the official opening and the performance the sun shone on seven branches and the good weather attracted many families to the gastronomic festival and many children to the puppet show, who were delighted to take part in the interactive production directed by Regina Nagy.

The Puppet Theatre starts its journey again on Monday with the: The Wishing-Table also directed by Regina Nagy, it will take part in a tour in Slovakia with the support of the Bethlen Gábor Fundation. The series of performances will start on September 21 in Rimaszombat, then in Gímes and Komáromszentpéter on the 22nd, on the 23rd in Felsőszeli, on the 24th in Bátorkeszi and on the 27th in Szenc the puppet show, which is a favourite of the audience in Satu Mare, will be shown.

The aim of the tour is to take Hungarian-language puppet theatre performances to places where they are very difficult or not available at all, thus helping and complementing the sacrificial work of the teachers who nurture the Hungarian language and maintain the Hungarian identity.
