For eleven days, Satu Mare was once again the centre of minority theatre in Romania: at the 11th Interethnic Theatre Festival, 26 productions by 24 companies were presented to a large audience of nearly 5 000 people.

Thursday 14 November marked the beginning of the Interethnic Theatre Festival to Satu Mare, which brings together companies representing minority theatre in Romania and their representative performances. The Proscenium Foundation in Satu Mare has already hosted the eighth and tenth editions of the festival in 2016 and 2022, and now the organisers have the honour of hosting the festival for the third time.

This year, the Festival of Hungarian Theatres is being organised in Kisvárda for the 36th time, a unique event that presents performances of Hungarian theatres from abroad. The Harag György Company will take part in the festival's competition programme with The Cripple of Inishaam, directed by Bélai Marcel, based on Martin McDonagh's play.
